We leave Monday...pre-op Wed. and surgery Thurs. It's a "biggie" so your thoughts and prayers will be so very much appreciated! Madi got new hair for her big trip:)
I just returned from having a week off and found your update. I hope all goes well for Madi. I'll definitely be thinking about you and wish you all the best. Be sure to keep me posted. Jacqui
Rhonda -- you might not remember me. I'm one of your first students, Karena Mathys.
I stumbled across your blog and am amazed at both your and Madison's strength and character. You've both been dealt a difficult hand, yet you're coping with it with incredible grace.
You and Madi are in my family's prayers and thoughts.
My daughter, MadiMay Draper, is one of the first 100 patients in the VEPTR program (Vertical expansion prosthesis titanium rib project). This blog follows her medical journey and, hopefully, shares insight on what it is like to raise a child with special needs.
