Perspective

We have arrived in pitt and are at the RMcD House...our "home away from home". Always thankful when there IS a vacancy:)
And as I fret and worry about Our Gal...other stories shared in the kitchen put our luck and love in perspective.
There is a lovely little (small as Madi) 13 yr old girl here recovering from her second heart transplant in three years. That is difficult enough. But, the reason her first transplant failed? Her twin sister was diagnosed and passed away within three months last year. The stress and trauma caused her heart to fail.
These are stories that cannot be made up...and cannot be heard without changing you forever.
So, if something went wrong today (stress "thing") and you thought it was terrible-awful-day-ruining...think again.
Think hard.
And don't forget how lucky you were that it was only a "thing".

here we go again...

Step sis Izzy and miracle friend Remi are pictured with Madi at this week's Miracle Kids dinner--what a blast!
This is Madi's last day of fourth grade and I cannot believe it! Man, time does fly...
She is probably the only kid crying that school is over- especially because she knows that we leave on Monday for Pitt. and she has surgery a week from tomorrow.
I will post updates on this page and you can email us both at:
ymca_rfoote@yahoo.com

Thanks for the prayers...and for keeping madi in your thoughts.

...and here is the legendary Yankee "Goose" with our girls (that is Cassandra looking all grown up) and pal Remi...
